Kazakhstan's imports of Polish apples up
Kazakhstan has imported about 6,000 tons of Polish apples in December 2014, an increase of 50% compared with the same month of the previous year and record high result for at least 5 past seasons.
It should be noted that Poland has been raising apple exports to Kazakhstan since the very beginning of the season 2014/15. Kazakhstan's imports of Polish apples over the period from July to December 2014 totaled 22,000 tons, which enabled Poland to become the leading apple exporter to Kazakhstan. For comparison, Poland ranked just second in the first half of the season 2013/14 with exports standing at just 12,000 tons.
We would remind you that Polish exporters actively seek new sales markets for their produce with Ukraine, Kazakhstan and Belarus being of top priority for them.
