Crimea: white cabbage prices 6 times as high as a year before

Lack of supply of early varieties of white cabbage has provoked a rapid rise in prices in Crimea. Now they are averagely 6 times as high as in the same period of the previous year, according to Fruit-Inform.

In particular, sellers from Krymsky Privoz Wholesale Market, Simferopol, now offer their white cabbage at RUB 55-60/kg (USD 0.97-1.05/kg). For comparison, prices did not exceed RUB 12/kg a year before.

It should also be noted that white cabbage prices have jumped by 60% due to limited supply of white cabbage in the Crimean market in view of an inter-season period.
