Ukrainian blueberry exports up 20 times over past 4 years
Ukraine has been actively raising the blueberry exports. According to Fruit-Inform, they have jumped almost 20 times over the past 4 years.
In the current season, the export volumes of Ukrainian blueberries increased by 50% compared with a year before: 2,000 tons in the first 9 months of 2017 against 1,300 tons in the same period of 2016.
Belarus was the largest importer of Ukrainian blueberries in 2017 with the import volumes of 739 tons, a rise of 43% year-on-year. The Netherlands ranked second and imported 720 tons of blueberries from Ukraine, an increase of 14%. The UK was the third largest importer and tripled the import volumes compared with a year before so that totaled 419 tons.
