State reserve not to purchase sunflower seeds in 2004

Vice President of Ukraine's Committee for State Reserves Mykhailo Halych informed on September 7 that the committee would reject the idea of purchasing sunflower seeds of 2004 crop.

According to him, this decision is caused by lack of funds for the purpose. He said that this year priority will be given to grain: it should be stored in sufficient amount and paid in full.

Previously the Committee was going to purchase 50,000 tonnes of sunseeds.
