Livestock industry production in Jan-Sept. 2004
According to State Statistics Committee, sales of animals and poultry for slaughter in Ukraine in January-September 2004 decreased 5.6 percent from the same period last year - to 1.63 million tonnes in live weight.
Production of milk since the start of this year until the end of September made 10.95 million tonnes, which is approximately at the last year's level (10.98 million tonnes in January-September 2003).
Production of eggs over the 9 months of this year increased 2.4 percent from the same months of 2003 - to 9.53 billion.
