Carrot supply continues to grow
The good carrot harvest in the current year continue to cause pressure on market. According to AMP (Agricultural Marketing Project) information, this week the supplies on price of USD $ 0.06/kg of carrot were observed; still on that price the commodity of not very good quality is sold. The major carrot supplies are within the limits from USD $ 0.09 to 0.13/kg.
AMP information. The carrot production leaders in Ukraine are Kharkiv, Kyiv and Lviv oblasts which produce 21% of the whole carrot yield; the overproduction of this commodity is observed in Volyn, Cherkasy and Rivne oblasts which provide about 60% of all carrot supplies to other regions of Ukraine. The largest markets for carrot sales are Donetsk, Lugansk, Dnepropetrovsk and Kyiv oblasts.
