Production of feeds in Ukraine increased 2 pc in October

Production of compound feeds in Ukraine in October slightly increased (2 percent) from the previous month and, according to operative statistics, constituted 137,300 tonnes. This amount is 15 percent up from the production in October 2003.

At the end of month carryover stocks at Ukrainian feed mills increased 14 percent from the month before - to 12,800 tonnes.

Over the four months of this marketing year (MY - July to June) production of compound feeds in Ukraine made 528,800 tonnes, which significantly (12 percent) exceeds the amount, produced over the same period of 2003/04 MY and is 43 percent more than the amount of feeds, produced in July-October of 2002.
