The diversity of onion prices is increasing on Ukrainian market
As Agricultural Marketing Project (AMP) informed, past week prices on onion decreased rather sufficiently on Ukrainian markets, especially in the main regions - producers. This week no significant price stabilization was observed on the market, which is proved by a growing gap between the maximum and minimum prices on which farmers are seeking to sell the produced onion.
According to opinion of AMP specialists, the major supplies this week were offered on USD $ 0.13/kg, still there were supplies on USD $ 0.09 and $ 0.18/kg. According to market players' information, at present moment the real wholesale sales were performed on USD $ 0.09-0.13/kg, much depended from the quality of the commodity.
Next week we should probably expect the increase of onion supplies on market that may result in the further decrease of average sale price.
