State of winter crops today is out of concern - weather centre
Acording to Mykola Kulbida, Director of Ukrainian Hydrometeocenter (weather centre), the current state of winter crops does not cause any concerns. The crops are in a fair condition. Kulbida said that despite abnormally warm winter, there were no extremely unfavourable influences on the crops up to now. However, Kulbida pointed out that still there were some negative effects on the crop development, produced by current weather. These are renewal of vegetation in the winter period, weakening of crops and absence of sufficient hardening.
As for the further weather, conditions Kulbida said that there would be a gradual fall of temperature until February 7 with snowfalls all over the territory of Ukraine. He supposes these changes might affect the crops favourably.
