Ukrainian ports handled about 6 mln t of grain cargos in 2004
In 2004 Ukrainian seaports processed 5.899 million tonnes of grain cargos, which is by 566,000 tonnes less than the year before, a spokesman for the state marine transport association "Ukrmorport" said to APK-Inform.
According to the report, the transit cargoflow of grains, handled in Ukrainian ports, decreased by 1.938 million tonnes from 2003 - from 2.475 million to 537,400 tonnes. This was, however, compensated by grain exports, which increased from 1.825 to 3.434 million tonnes in 2004.
