WJ company made first sunoil shipment from its newly commissioned terminal in Kherson
Company WJ has made the first export shipment of sunflower oil from its new filling terminal "Khersones", located in Ukrainian port of Kherson, a spokesman for the company told APK-Inform on January 21.
The spokesman said the 3.000-tonne cargo of sunoil had been departed to France.
As it has been earlier reporter, in 2004 WJ put in operation a sunoil shipping terminal in Khreson with 20,000 tonnes of one-time storage capacity. Its rated filling capacity is 834 tonnes per day or 25,000 tonnes per month.
The "Khersones" terminal is able to provide a shipment of 200,000 to 250,000 tonnes of cargos per year, the transhipment being possible both from railtanks and road cisterns onto marine and river vessels of up to 10,000 tonnes of displacement. The facility is of all-season operation. According to the company's management, the cost-price of vegoil transhipments from the new terminal is lower than at the counterpart terminals of Ukraine.
Company WJ was established in New York in 1989. In Ukraine it is represented by several companies involved in grain and oilseeds trade, storage, shipments and transportation of agricultural commodities.
