It is still rather hard to buy cabbage and onion in Ukraine
The analysts of Agricultural Marketing Project inform that this week the volumes of white cabbage supply have increased a little; it is caused by the dramatic price growth on this commodity observed during two previous weeks. Still the cheapest cabbage is offered on price starting from USD $ 0.22/kg (the figures are for wholesale supply, the largest wholesale volume offered by the producers is 250 tons).
Most frequently cabbage is supplied on USD $ 0.35 - 0.37/kg. The most expensive cabbage is offered by the producers on price USD $ 0.47-0.51/kg; however, to the experts' opinion, such offers have not been called for yet. We'd mention that some buyers are searching for the producers able to provide the regular supplies of large (up to 50-70 tons per week) volumes of cabbage.
The peculiar feature of this week is the decrease of bulb onion supplies on market. Such supplies have been remaining singular, so we can expect the price growth on this commodity. Now the significantly large volumes of onion may be bought on USD $ 0.18-0.22/kg.
