Globino cannery "Globus" presented the new policy of cooperation with raw material suppliers

A round table for the representatives of "Globus" cannery and agricultural producers was conducted on the 16th of March 2005 in village Globino, Poltava oblast, under the support of the specialists of Agricultural Marketing Project (AMP). Mrs. Irina Ivanchik, the director of the enterprise, presented to the producers the new strategy and terms of cooperation with the enterprise; they are fundamentally different from the former practices. In particular, it is supposed to improve the system of cucumber acceptance on purpose to avoid the long queues. New program of the enterprise and producers cooperation was developed jointly with Poltava AMP office and called "Global partner" program. It presupposes, among other things, the possibility of credit receipt by the large agricultural producers.

Oleg Smolka, the agronomist of Poltava AMP office, thinks that the main reason for the new police creation is the necessity to provide the enterprise with the reliable channels of raw materials supply. Past 2004 year "Globus" cannery like many of other enterprises in this branch faced a serious problem of raw material lack; it managed to purchase less than a half of the planned volumes.

This year the cannery preserved the practice of the weekly seminars where the agricultural producers may receive free of charge the necessary technological knowledge on crop production inquired by the enterprise; have the possibility to consult with the specialists and sign contracts on agricultural commodities supply.
