Today the greenhouse cucumbers and tomatoes grew expensive significantly
The average price on the greenhouse vegetable increased today, the analysts explain this fact by the growing demand on the eve of Easter holidays.
Alexander Skrebets, the Price Monitoring Specialist of Agricultural Marketing Project informs that the major sales volumes were accounted for the greenhouse tomatoes and cucumbers on the wholesale market "Farmer", Kyiv. Today the average prices on the greenhouse tomatoes were about USD $ 2.17/kg; however, past Friday tomatoes can be bought on USD $ 1.82/kg. The price grow increased significantly the attractiveness of Turkish greenhouse tomatoes on the Ukrainian market, as they were sold in average on USD $ 0.01/kg cheaper than the commodities of Ukrainian origin.
The average wholesale prices on long greenhouse cucumbers of a not very good quality grew on USD $ 0.01/kg up to USD $ 1.88/kg. The wholesale prices on short greenhouse cucumbers increased on USD $ 0.29/kg up to USD $ 2.28/kg.
To the opinion of the market analysts, the prices on the greenhouse vegetables will be kept on the relatively high level this week and go down only after the end of Easter holidays.
