"Veres"purchases one more cannery in Cherkasy oblast
As the players of fruit and vegetable market inform, one of the leaders on this market, "Agroecoproduct" (it is producing the canned fruit and vegetable commodities under TM "Veres") company purchased Cherkasy cannery "Konservagroinvest".
Past year there was information that the company had an intention to purchase one more enterprise, but only recently the name of the purchased cannery has come out. We'd mention that the company owns a number of the processing enterprises in Cherkasy and Zakarpattya oblasts.
In 2004 the company management declared about their intention to increase the capacity of the enterprises and to extend the assortment of the produced commodities referring to the constantly increasing demand on the commodities under TM "Veres" which always exceeds supply.
To the opinion of Maxim Yenchenko, the Market Information Specialist of Agricultural Marketing Project (AMP), the enhanced capacity of "Agroecoproduct" company is a wonderful opportunity for the farmers of this region to increase their fruit and vegetable production revenues. In fact, as M. Yenchenko said, taking into account the present processing capacity the production of fruit and vegetable commodities in Cherkasy oblast may be more profitable than in Kherson, the "vegetable capital of Ukraine".
We'd remind that in the beginning of this year the "Agroecoproduct" company awarded Cherkasy AMP office with the certificate of Best Partner 2004, appreciating this way the contribution of the Project specialists to the development of raw materials zone of the enterprise.
