Early strawberry is being sold throughout Ukraine

As it was earlier informed, early strawberry of Ukrainian origin was first supplied on markets in the beginning of May. To this moment the supply of early strawberry has grown extremely, however, this commodity is not presented on many markets. According to the results of the monitoring of retail prices carried out by the Agricultural Marketing Project (AMP), the prices on early strawberry are fluctuating within USD $ 3.96-4.95/kg in the regions where this commodity is produced and up to USD $ 7.92-8.91/kg in Kyiv, it is mostly supplied there from Crimea.

As the specialists think, by the end of next week the supply of early strawberry should be extended much, and prices will probably go down. According to the results of retail price monitoring, past year starting from the moment when the early strawberry first came on market the price on this commodity used to fall down on 40-50% each week during a month till the moment of mass harvesting.

We should mention that at this moment there are supplies of imported strawberry on markets on price of USD $ 11.88-15.84/kg.
