The production lands of broccoli, cauliflowers and Pekinese cabbage are extending in Ukraine
This year in Ukraine the acreage extension is expected for such crops as cauliflowers, Pekinese cabbage and broccoli, as the specialists of the regional offices of Agricultural Marketing Project inform.
The Project analysts explain this situation by the significant demand growth on these commodities from the side of population of Ukraine, especially in large cities. Besides, the prices on these cabbage varieties are rather attractive comparing to the production cost; so a good enough profit is quite possible. A serious drawback of these commodities production is a certain market limitedness that is why the threat of overproduction is possible in case of rapid acreage extension.
