Parliament repeated negative vote on reduction of import duties
Verkhovna Rada (Parliament) of Ukraine on its plenary sitting May 31 returned for repeated second reading the governmental bill No. 7181 "About Amendments into Some Laws of Ukraine (Regarding Customs Tariffs)", which stipulated reduction of import duties for some goods from Groups 1-23 of Ukraine's Foreign Trade Commodity List (foodstuffs and agricultural products).
The document was voted favourably by only 237 deputies out of 417 registered for the sitting.
