Ukraine: grain shipment statistics for January-June 2005
In January-June 2005 Ukraine shipped 2.813 million tonnes of grains via ports. The amount shipped is by 1.522 million tonnes higher compared to the same period last year, reports State Association Ukrmorport.
Export volume for the first half of 2005 totalled 2.309 million tonnes, up by 1.254 million tonnes from the same period last year. Transit cargoflow of grain in the regarded period increased by 270,000 tonnes to 485,800 tonnes.
Total volume of grains and products cargoes shipped in January-June by Ukrainian ports makes 3.14 million tonnes, up by 1.615 million tonnes from a year ago. The larger part is exports 2.579 million tonnes (up by 1.305 million tonnes from the same period last year), 542,100 tonnes fall for imports (up 320,800 tonnes from 2004).
