Russia suspended imports and transits of EU-origin livestock products transited trough Lithuania
Press-service of Russian Agriculture Ministry has informed that due to revealed facts of counterfeit veterinary certificates, issued in the EU member countries for animal-origin products imported onto the territory of Russian Federation with transhipments in the Republic of Lithuania, since September 12, 2005 the imports into Russia and transits through its territory of the commodities falling under control of Rosselkhoznador (governmental authority for supervision of operations with agricultural commodities) from EU member countries and third countries with transhipments to be made on the territory of Lithuania are temporarily suspended.
