Vegetable prices continue growing - the Ministry of Economics of Ukraine

In the second decade of January the seasonal price increase on vegetable commodities was observed in Ukraine, as it was reported by the PR and Mass Media Department of the Ministry of Economics of Ukraine.

According to the data of the price monitoring conducted by the state price control bodies, in the period from 01/10/2006 to 01/20/2005 the average price level on bulb onion increased the highest - on 4.2% (up to USD 0.43/kg). The prices on carrot grew too - on 4.1% (up to USD 0.39/kg), cabbage - on 2.9 % (up to USD 0.42/kg), red beets - on 4.1 % (up to USD 0.34/kg), and potato -on 1.5% (up to USD 0.41/kg).
