Producers are getting more interested in vegetable production machinery

The Agricultural Marketing Project surveyed Ukrainian market of vegetable production machinery; a great potential of this market is proved. High produce prices were observed past year, the labor cost jumped up drastically on the background of labor shortage in many regions of Ukraine. As a result, Ukrainian farmers - vegetable producers got very much interested in vegetable, fruit and berry production machinery. Due to these facts in 2006 the market volume for the specialized vegetable production machinery will significantly increase.

We'll stress that not only the farmers, but also processing enterprises are showing interest to the machinery. Many processors are inquiring now about the possibilities to establish or extend the own vegetable, fruit and berry production.

The survey results also prove that the medium power tractors, mini-machinery, precise drills and onion harvesters are of the greatest interest for the producers. This information per each oblast of Ukraine will be fully published in the first March issues of "Agrooglyad: Vegetables and Fruits" in 2006.
