Vegetable and fruit sales are very rare today in Lviv oblast

Lviv oblast continues celebrating Easter holidays, and the level of business activities remains low in the region. According to the information provided by Sergiy Havryshev, the Market Information Specialist of Lviv office, Agricultural Marketing Project, fruit and vegetable market has brought to a stand too.

In particular, there are no buyers and sellers on the largest wholesale SHUVAR market in Western Ukraine, though the facility is officially working today. The specialists are waiting for the first sellers by the midnight: they will come to reserve places and trade today's night and tomorrow's morning. The same situation is observed for the retail markets: the markets are opened, but no vendors have come. There are no vegetable trading tents on Lviv city streets: but they also play a significant role in providing the population with fresh produce supplies.

However, all groceries have been opened today; most of them have fruit and vegetable sections. Still, Sergey Havryshev considers the produce assortment to be rather poor these days in the shops and supermarkets. The produce quality has somewhat deteriorated because of the absence of new supplies. We expect fruit and vegetable trade to liven up significantly tomorrow.
