There is carrot shortage on FARMER (Troyeschina) market in Kyiv

It is difficult to buy carrot today on the main produce wholesale FARMER market (better known as Troyeschina market) in Kyiv. Carrot supply is practically absent, Anatoliy Yarovoy, the Wholesale Price Monitoring Specialist of the Agricultural Marketing Project (AMP) informs "Agrooglyad: Vegetables and Fruits". Small carrot shipments of both local and imported origin have been rapidly sold out. Belgium carrot was sold for more than $0.98/kg. Ukrainian carrot cost $0.54/kg and more, but the supply was very short.

According to the information provided by Lviv AMP office, carrot is offered for $0.39-0.5/kg today on SHUVAR produce wholesale market in Lviv. The carrot supply is short, the same situation is observed for other vegetables, because the market is not working in full force now after the Easter holidays.
