Producers sell water-melons for less than $0.03/kg in Kherson oblast

According to information provided by Price Monitoring specialists of the Agricultural Marketing Project to "Agrooglyad: Vegetables and Fruits" journal, water-melon producers sell their produce for less than $0.03/kg out of field in Kherson oblast. Past season the price for water-melon did not go lower $0.08/kg.

In connection with low inner prices and good quality of harvested water-melons, this year the companies are actively exporting their commodities. The main export directions are Baltic countries, Belarus, Poland, Germany, and Netherlands.

Market players admit the possibility of further price decrease for water-melons in Ukraine.
