The prices for commercial apple continue growing in Ukraine
The prices for commercial apple continue increasing in Ukraine despite of the fact that apple stocks are maximal at the present moment on the inner market. The analysts of the Agricultural Marketing Project explain the price growth by the decreased supply of apples as raw materials on the background of the simultaneous demand growth for this commodity. In its turn, the demand for commercial apple is determined by the increased demand for apple juice and apple concentrate both on the inner and external market.
The decreased supply of Ukrainian apple concentrate influenced the prices for commercial apples in Poland. Despite of a greater apple harvest in 2006, the prices for the concentrate and commercial apples have started to grow in Poland. During this week apple processors in Poland have been forced to increase the purchase price 15-20% in average.
