Increasing supplies of Georgian tangerine to Ukrainian market result in the price decrease in lower price segment
The produce market players inform about growing supplies of Georgian tangerine to Ukrainian market. It is accompanied by the decrease of wholesale prices in low-quality tangerine segment.
At the same time, good quality tangerine of Turkish origin dominated in wholesale and retail trade. The prices for this product were significantly higher than the prices for tangerine in Georgia. The growth of daily sales of tangerines has been recently observed in retail chains and on bazars; as a result, the prices for quality tangerine started increasing. During the recent week an average price for tangerine has increased 5-7% in Ukraine under influence of the growing demand for this fruit.
