Greenhouse cucumber of the national origin is actively marketed in Kyiv

According to information provided by "Agrooglyad: Vegetables and Fruits" weekly journal, the newly harvested greenhouse cucumber of Ukrainian origin has already started to be supplied on market. An average price for this product is 70-90% higher than the price for the imported cucumber. The wholesale shipments of Ukrainian greenhouse cucumber ogrown by the greenhouse complexes in Kyiv suburbs are offered for sale for $3.2-3.6/kg. At the same time, it is possible to buy Turkish cucumber for $1.76-1.9/kg.

To the opinion of the analysts of the weekly journal, the supply growth of Ukrainian greenhouse cucumber will result in the permanent price decrease for this product in the coming days. We'll point out that the national greenhouse cucumber was not offered for sale, and the imported cucumber of Turkish origin was sold for $2.4-2.8/kg at the same period of time past year.
