Low sales rates are preserved for the canned vegetable produce in Ukraine

Many processing enterprises, which are specialized on the canned vegetable production, inform about low rates of the product sales. According to information provided by the experts of "Agrooglyad: Vegetables and Fruits" journal, this situation is predetermined by the total growth of the production volumes of the canned vegetable group this season. As a consequence, the excessive supply of both national and imported canned produce is observed on the inner market.

In this regard the processor admit the possibility that they will start a new season having large stocks of the previous year produce. They will be forced to reduce the production volume. The purchase of the raw materials will be reduced respectively.

This circumstance is sure to worry the producers who faced the problem to sell vegetables past season. The sales to the processing enterprises were the only way out for many farmers who had no specialized premises for a long-term storage. The processing enterprises have lower requirements to the quality than the fresh market.
