Ukrainian market is oversupplied with apples
The specialists of "Agrooglyad: Vegetables and Fruits" journal inform about the constantly increasing apple supplies and the decreasing prices for this product on Ukrainian market. The experts point out the dominating position of Polish apples (as before, the apples of Polish origin constitute 80% of the total supplies on the national market).
Moldavian and Ukrainian apples are also present on market. The winter variety named after Simirenko remains the most popular item among the national produce; it is supplied in a rather high price segment, up to $0.88-1.07/kg. To compare, Idared variety is sold for the price starting from $0.68/kg.
