No one to guarantee the price growth for greenhouse vegetables before May holidays in Ukraine
The market players say that the demand for greenhouse cucumbers and tomatoes is growing by slower rates than the rates of greenhouse vegetables supply. In this regard the specialists consider the hopes of many greenhouse complexes for the price growth for their produce to be groundless.
The specialists of "Agrooglyad: Vegetables and Fruits" journal" mention that the prices for greenhouse vegetables are lower now than in the same period of time in 2006 due to much warmer spring and earlier start of the sales season for greenhouse produce. The wholesale price for greenhouse tomato is 5% lower, the wholesale price for greenhouse cucumber is 35% lower than a year ago in Kyiv.
