Polish farmers to expect good fruit harvest
Polish farmers feel optimistic because of warm and sunny weather in their country, which follows relatively mild winter favorable for the perennial plantings. The orchards in most regions of Poland are abundantly blooming and forming large fruit sets.
The produce business experts think that Polish orchardists can easily count on a good fruit harvest if no frosts occur in two next weeks. Though it is worth to mention that many things depend on the vegetation conditions: the thing is, no drip irrigation systems are applied in most orchards in Poland.
The analysts of ""Agrooglyad: Vegetables and Fruits" journal" forecast the considerable growth of fruit production in Ukraine in 2007; however, the production growth is likely to be achieved mostly due to the greater apple harvest. At the same time, the warm-loving crops (peach and apricot) have again suffered from the frosts in the southern regions of the country. Again, the production of these fruits will be lower than usual.
