Russia: price growth for carrot is observed in Moscow oblast

The specialists of "Agrooglyad: Vegetables and Fruits" journal informed that the prices for quality carrot started to grow in Moscow oblast.

The wholesale companies initiate the price growth as most of them preserve the restrained trading mode for the produce kept in storages. Quality carrot is mostly supplied on market for the prices varying $0.31-0.62/kg; the demand is gradually growing. It is worth mentioning that this produce was sold for $0.23-0.58/kg a week ago. In addition to the national produce, the quality imported carrot of Dutch and Polish origin goes on coming on market; the resellers sell this produce for $0.66-0.7/kg. The supplies of medium quality carrot are occasional; they do not significantly influence the general market situation. For this product the resellers lay down the sales prices on the level of $0.23-0.27/kg, nevertheless, low demand is in place.
