"Agrooglyad: Vegetables and Fruits" may reconsider the price forecast for late vegetables and potato because of drought

The analysts of ""Agrooglyad: Vegetables and Fruits" admit the possible reconsideration of the forecasted production and prices for vegetables in the nearest future in regard of the record high temperature and almost full absence of rainfalls. Such situation has been observed throughout Ukraine for more than a week already. Such weather conditions may lead to a rapid decline of yield of medium and late varieties of cabbage, potato, carrot, table beet, onion and other crops. The production of some early vegetables may reduce as well. Also, a part of vegetable cultivation areas may be fully lost in some regions where the produce is grown without irrigation.

At the present moment the journal experts evaluate the losses caused by the drought in various regions of the country; they continue to attentively keep an eye on the market situation. We will inform the subscribers about the changes in the production and price forecasts on the pages of ""Agrooglyad: Vegetables and Fruits" journal": this periodical has been issued in electronic and hardcopy formats since April 2007.
