Russia: Coca-Cola will produce juices and other beverages in Rostov
During the VI International investment forum "Sochi 2007" the Administration of Rostovskaya region and LLC "Coca-Cola HBC Eurasia" signed the investment agreement about the construction of the enterprise in the region, which will produce beverages. The project is estimated to EUR 120 mln., the correspondent of Interfax informed, having attended the ceremony of the singing of the agreement.
According to the document, the plant will be constructed in Kuleshovskaya industrial zone (Azovskiy district). The land plot of 26.5 ha has been allocated for the company's construction works.
"This project is a necessity, it will help satisfy the increasing needs of our people", Vladimir Chub, the Governor of the region, pointed out at the ceremony.
As expected, the first stage of the plant is to be launched in 2008. The projected capacity of 6 production lines of the enterprise will be 300 mln. liters of beverages per year.
"We will extend the capacities of our production due to the second stage of the construction which will be launched in 5 next years - after that the plant capacity will constitute 500 mln. liters per year. We will produce not only Coca-Cola branded produce, by also juices: Rich, "Dobry", Nico. Also, we'll produce preservative-free Nestea tea," Kit Sanders said, the General Director of Russian, Armenian and Belarus offices of the company. "There will be six production lines for the beginning, which will be extended to eight or nine in future".
LLC "Coca-Cola HBC Eurasia" is the Russian representative of Greek Coca-Cola Hellenic Bottling Company S.A., "the daughter" of American The Coca-Cola Company. Coca-Cola owns 13 plants in Russia.
