Apple production in China may decline 20% in 2007
Trade sources inform, apple production in China may decline 18-20% in 2007 comparing to the previous year. The expected decline of apple harvest, supported by information about increased inner consumption, have been already stimulating the global prices for apple and apple concentrate to increase.
To the opinion of the analysts of CIS produce business periodical "Agrooglyad: Vegetables and Fruits" weekly", the reduced apple production in China may lead to the sharply increased prices for apple concentrate, because Poland, the second largest producer in the world, also forecasts the dramatic decline of the concentrate production. According to the forecasts of "Agrooglyad: Vegetables and Fruits" analysts, in the season 2007/08 Ukraine will increase the production of apple concentrate not less that 10-15%.
