Tomato juice production annually increases 25% in Russia

According to information provided by the analysts of CIS produce business "Agrooglyad: Vegetables and Fruits", the average markup of the inner production of tomato juice in Russian Federation in the recent three years amounts to 25% per year. The main reason is the growth of the consumption of vegetable and fruit juices in the country thanks to the increased incomes of the population.

According to the forecasts of "Agrooglyad: Vegetables and Fruits" analysts, in 2007 the growth rates of tomato juice production may insignificantly decrease in connection with the increased inner prices for tomato paste and inner prices for field tomatoes (commercial tomatoes). Nevertheless, in 2007 we forecast 10-15% increase of tomato juice production.

The most part of tomato juice, produced in Russia, is produced on the basis of imported tomato juice. "Agrooglyad: Vegetables and Fruits" has already informed, around 98% of Russia's need in tomato paste is covered by means of imports. You will find the details of the perspectives of the market of tomato and tomato paste from the leading experts of the industry during the second international conference "Fruit&Vegetable Business of Russia 2007.
