Greenhouse complex of more than 4 ha acreage will be opened in the capital of Altayskiy kray

One of the largest and most modern greenhouse complexes in Siberia is under construction in Barnaul, the capital of Altayskiy Kray. Today, on the 14th of November, the second stage of a new greenhouse block "Industrialniy" will be officially launched, the Press Service of Regional Administration informed the correspondent of IA REGNUM.

The construction of the second stage of the greenhouse lasted May till September of the current year. The acreage of new greenhouse with the application of "light crop" technology is more than one hectare. The total cost of the project amounted to 153 mln. RUR. The launch of the second stage let the producers additionally grow 145 tons of vegetables this year.

Ivan Zyryanov, the Director of "Industrialniy" complex, pointed out that the enterprise is aimed at the construction of new greenhouses with the most advanced technologies and high yield of vegetable crops. The greenhouse complex of more than 4 ha square is planned to be constructed in three years.

IA REGNUM has earlier informed that the first stage of the greenhouse was launched in December 2006. During first nine months of the current year 5,700 tons of vegetables have been grown here, i.e. more than 800 tons more than in the previous year.
