Ukraine sharply increased juice exports in 2007

According to the data of the analysts of CIS produce business weekly "Agrooglyad: Vegetables and Fruits", during first three quarters of this year Ukraine has increased 29% juice exports comparing to the same period of time past year. The volumes of exported shipments of all juices were 2.3 times as high in September this year than in September 2006.

The journal experts explain the increased exports of juices both by the increased fruit harvest, and by the growth of global prices for fruit concentrates and juices. We'd like to point out that the share of apple juice in exported shipments sharply increased in September; the growth amounted to 80%. At the same time, the share of tomato juice has dramatically declined. Moreover, the volume of juice exports in September was a new top record of monthly exports.
