Most specialists of wholesale companies estimate the quality of Polish cabbage as high. Polish cabbage is sold for $0.36-0.45/kg depending on the included transportation expenses. The formation of sales prices is also affected by insignificant supplies of Dutch cabbage ($0.49-0.53/kg), German ($0.45-0.49/kg), Belorussian ($0.41-0.45/kg) and Dagestani cabbage ($0.32-0.36/kg) to Russian market.
Most market players are united to think that the price decline for cabbage is temporary. The price will stabilize by New Year holidays, the price for quality products will start increasing soon, they say. Also, the prices may be supported on the inner market because of the reduced supplies of imported cabbage, if the weather conditions deteriorate.
