Ukraine: tentative production and price forecast for fruits and vegetables in 2008 will be presented tomorrow

The experts of CIS produce business weekly "Agrooglyad: Vegetables and Fruits" prepared the tentative production and price forecast for fruits and vegetables in 2008, based on the plans of producers for the next season and 10-years experience of price forecast for agricultural products. The updated forecast will be presented by Andriy Yarmak on December 4th, the first day of the fourth international conference "Fruits and Vegetables of Ukraine 2007. Meeting New Leader".

The tentative forecast of the possible changes in the crop structure proves that we should expect surprises next year. In particular, if there are no significant problems with fruit losses because of frosts, fruit production may reach top record for the previous years despite of the preserved trend of the reduction of perennial cultivation areas. Vegetable production in 2008 will also significantly increase in 2008, with a great share of probability.

The more detailed information about each crop will be presented to the conference participants and disseminated among the subscribers of "Agrooglyad: Vegetables and Fruits" weekly in two-three weeks after the end of the conference.
