Onion prices increase in Ukraine

The experts of CIS fruit & vegetable business weekly "Agrooglyad: Vegetables and Fruits" inform, the trend of the price growth for onion is preserved in Ukraine. The prices for this product have increased 7% in average since the previous week. To the specialists' opinion, the onion prices are increasing as a consequence of the limited supplies of large shipments of quality onion on market.

We'd also like to point out that the prices for onion stayed stable past week in Poland; onion prices insignificantly declined in Moscow. As of today, the onion prices are almost equal in Kyiv and Moscow, so onion exports to Russia are unfeasible. Russian buyers of onion would rather purchase this product from Dutch and Polish suppliers - onion is much cheaper in these countries now.
