Chips to be produced in Tyumenskaya region?
There is a plan to construct potato processing plant in Tyumenskaya region. Tyumen potato will be processed into chips, French fries and puree, Informational Agency "NewsProm.Ru" informs.
The tentative amount of investments to the plant construction is estimated to the sum worth EUR 30 mln., the Department of Regional Investment Policy informs.
Ivan Dudanov, the Chairman of Directors Board of "Selkhozinvest" group of companies presented the idea of such enterprise construction in the region after his visit to Tyumen.
Russian largest potato producer, agrofirm KRiMM works in Tyumenskaya region. The annual volume of harvested potato exceeds 40,000 tons. No other Russian enterprise is able to supply such volumes of quality potato.
During 2-3 years KRiMM is ready to increase potato production up to 180,000 tons and to fully load the potato processing plant with premium raw materials. Other companies are also working in the region; in total they produce 250,000 tons of potato.
In addition to potato processing, "Selkhozinvest" company paid attention to the other perspective directions - the processing of such natural resources like mushrooms, berries, medical herbs and other wild plants.
At the present moment the management of "Selkhozinvest" is considering such project; the implementation is estimated to be worth to EUR 10 mln.
