Ukraine: winter crops planting 91pc done
As of October 10, 2002 farmers of Ukraine planted winter crops on 7.907 million hectares, which is 89 percent of the area forecast. Winter wheat was sown on 6.504 million hectares (91 percent of the forecast).
On October 10 last year winter crops planting was completed on 8.105 million hectares or 92 percent of the forecast. Winter wheat was sown on 6.595 million hectares (93 percent of the forecast).
