Foreign companies invested $11.9 mln into Ukraine's agriculture

Since the beginning of 2002 foreign companies have invested into Ukraine's agriculture 11.852 million - five times more than over the same period last year, Ministry of Agrarian Policy has informed. Besides, foreign companies invested $18.257 million into the country's food processing industry - 90 percent up from the ten months of 2001.

Starting from 1992, foreign investors have invested $922.4 million into Ukraine's agro-industrial complex (combining farming businesses, food processing and related enterprises), which is about 20 percent of direct foreign investments into Ukrainian economy.
