Ukraine: new crop of grapes harvested in Odesskaya oblast

According to the report made by Nikolai Kiseolar, the deputy governor of Odesskaya oblast, as of October 14, the agrarians harvested the grape crop throughout 70 % of lands, reported “EHO”.

Also he noted that it is necessary to extend lands under grapes and added that areas extend yearly by 1.500-2000 ha. At the moment 18.000 ha have been harvested from the existent lands of 25.000 ha.

The average yield totaled 35-37 c/ha. The gross crop is expected at the level of 80.000 tonnes.
