Russia: prices for canned cucumbers up 30%

Prices for canned cucumbers are up 30% as compared to the same indices of the last year, reported representatives of processing sector of the Russian Federation to Fruit-Inform project.

According to the specialists, the main reason is lack of supplies and high prices for raw material due to low yield of cucumbers in the farms during the current season. At that, according to producers, increase of imports from India and Iran would not compensate lack of raw material supply.
