Moldova: irrigated agrarian lands to increase to 100.000 ha
In Moldova, areas of irrigated lands will be increased to the level of 100.000 ha.
According to Vyacheslav Iordan, the diirector of the agency “Apele Moldovei”, the government will grant 2.105 euro for construction of new irrigation system, reported IA “News-Moldova”.
Also, he noted that irrigated lands will be extended from 55.000 to 100.000 ha due to construction of new irrigation system. Lands will be substantially extended in the South where agrarians complain about droughty weather. The project is realizing in the context of Compact program financed by the government of the USA.
