Ukraine: difficulties with onion sales
Farmers of Kherson oblast face difficulties with onion production. According to the information provided by the specialists of Fruit-Inform project, owing to surplus of supplies and low demand the agrarians have to decrease prices to the range of 0.04- 0.08 euro/kg. However, it is complicated to sell large lots at the current prices. The other reason that caused such difficulties is large lots of low qualitative onion unsuitable for storing.
In these conditions, some producers refused to complete harvesting campaign as a result of increase of production costs.
