Soft loans level for Ukraine's farmers 6 pc higher than year ago
Presently, farmers obtained 1.1 billion hrynvias of loans, of which 464 million hryvnias is the sum of soft ones. This is 6 percent more than a year ago, Ukraine's Minister of Agrarian Policy Serhiy Ryzhuk said at a press-conference March 20. He also noted that interest rates for farm credits decreased 5-7 percent comparing with previous year.
The rate of partial budget compensation to agricultural enterprises on banking credits in 2003 will be 10 percent a year but no less than 100 percent of the NBU's discount rate.
